Indulge Aesthetics Treatment FAQ's

Lash Extensions

Lash extensions will not damage your natural lashes when they are properly applied by a trained technician.
There are many things to take into account when getting lash extensions, and one of these is the length and strength of your natural lashes. Damage occurs when lashes that are too long or heavy for your natural lashes are applied, or when lashes are clumped together by neglectful application.
At Indulge Aesthetics, we pride ourselves on ethical application, and ongoing education to ensure we can keep your lashes healthy.

Generally, a full set can look full and fluffy for 7-14 days before needing an infill. This amount of time can vary greatly from one person to another. Many factors contribute, including the length of your lash growth cycle, the amount of natural oil in your skin, and your aftercare.
To ensure the lashes last as long as possible, we recommend washing them daily with our lash cleanser, and avoiding using heavey makeup or any products containing oil around the eye area.

It is important to come to your lash appointment free of eye makeup, or with minimal eye makeup on.
We recommend that you do not drink caffeine for 4 hours before your appointment, as this can cause your eyelids to twitch, making application of the extensions take longer.
Feel free to have a playlist on your phone or an audio book or podcast to listen to during your appointment.

DO NOT TOUCH YOUR LASHES!

We know, they're gorgeous, and fluffy, and you really really want to touch them. However, the glue can take a bit of time to fully cure, and handling the lashes too much before it is cured, can cause lashes to fall out.
It's also important to avoid steam and water on the lashes for 24 hours following your appointment.
After the 24 hours, you should cleanse and brush your lashes daily. Don't forget to schedule an infill to keep them full and lush!

A full set of lashes takes approximately 2 hours. Depending on several factors, it may be slightly quicker, or it may take a bit longer.
An infill can be done in less time, as every lash will not need to be re-lashed. Infills take approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes.

Lash Lifts

A lash lift is a treatment performed on your own natural lashes, enhancing their curl so that your lashes appear longer, while lash extensions involve the application of individual or fans of false lashes applied semi-permanently onto your natural lashes.

Lash lifts can last 6-8 weeks, depending on your lash growth cycle. The curl added to the lash is permanent, however, as you lose your natural lashes and have new lashes grow in without the curl, you may start to see the effect of the lift wear off. You can get a new lift at this point.

It is important to come to your lash appointment free of eye makeup, or with minimal eye makeup on.
We recommend that you do not drink caffeine for 4 hours before your appointment, as this can cause your eyelids to twitch, increasing the risk of product entering your eye.

After your lash lift, it is imperative that you do not wet your lashes for a full 24 hours, as this will deactivate the products used to create the curl.

Brows

Brow lamination is used to create the appearance of fuller, more defined brows. The brows are scultped, and a product is applied to help the hairs retain that shape. It can be great for anyone who has thinner brows and wants a fuller, fluffier appearance, or for anyone with curly unruly brows that don't sit well naturally.

Brow Lamination typically lasts 4-6 weeks, depending on the growth cycle of your brow hairs. The shaping added to the brow hair is permanent, however, as the hairs naturally fall out and new hairs grow in, you may start to see the effect of the lamination wear off. You can get a new lamination at this point.

Hybrid tint is a highly pigmented brow tint that can last up to 7 days on the skin, and up to 7 weeks on the hair. In addition to changing the colour or tone of your brows, it can also help to create a thicker appearance, or fill in any gaps, through the staining of the skin.

It is important to come to your lash appointment free of eye makeup, or with minimal eye makeup on.
We recommend that you do not drink caffeine for 4 hours before your appointment, as this can cause your eyelids to twitch, increasing the risk of product entering your eye.

After a brow lamination or tint, you should avid wetting your brows. For lamination especially, it is imperative you keep the brows dry for 24 hours.
With brow tinting, avoid exfoliating the brow area, as this will cause the tint to fade from the skin prematurely.
